Top Wedding Trends for 2021

It’s hard to believe that the 2021 wedding season is just around the corner. With that in mind, it’s already time to start thinking about the latest tips and trends for the year! As this season still won’t quite be “back to normal”, it is important to continue to incorporate best health and safety practices. That said, it doesn’t mean that your special day will lack those normal, celebratory vibes!

To kick off the season and provide ideas and inspiration, we have compiled a list of our favorite trends of the year.

Tents and Twinkly Lights
Outdoor events will still be popular as we continue to navigate the pandemic. Airflow will allow your guests some peace of mind, and because tents are so customizable, the options are endless for design. Lights will be the main feature of this season, however. We’re guessing folks missed the glow from evening events, concert stages, and fireworks!

One Tier Cakes and Mini Cakes
In an effort to continue to limit exposure, single-serve cakes will be all the rage.

Bright Colors
We could all use a little happiness through some color right now, right? We are thrilled to see some fun hues incorporated into event and floral design this year. We’re still big fans of simplicity and uncomplicated, classic designs such as the use of greenery on white linens. However, after Pantone announced Illuminating yellow as one of the colors of the year, we couldn’t hide our excitement or anticipation for the bold and bright.

Focusing on Florals
On a similar note, we are excited to see florals take center stage again after a couple of seasons of greenery.

Detailed Tabletops
It seems that everyone is excited to go all out in terms of décor after being cooped up in [relative] solitude. China, flatware, and glassware elements will grace tables and command grand attention to the long overdue celebrations we are all anticipating.

Humor… Lots of It
During times like this, sometimes all you can do is laugh and find humor in the “new norm” for events. Get creative and fun with it!

Green Vibes (Eco Friendly Weddings)
Events can create a lot of waste. More and more we are seeing steps taken toward planning and putting on an eco friendly wedding. And we are here for it.

A New Level of Bridal Fashion
Though traditional gowns will always been seen season to season, it has been predicted that in 2021 we will see some unique and new wedding dress fashion trends.

Décor – Bring the Destination to You
Again, as travel is limited, destination weddings are not currently taking place. That doesn’t mean you can’t bring a culture to you! We are hopeful we’ll see some different cultural weddings this season.

Extended Celebrations
Some couples are choosing to have smaller ceremonies and postpone a larger reception to a later date when it is safer to gather in large crowds. Why not have two events when we have all been deprived of parties for so long? The more celebrations the merrier.

Minimoons
Obviously, travel is still quite limited. We’ll be seeing a lot of couples do minimoons in their hometowns or cities nearby. Some couples are still planning a larger honeymoon for later down the road, but we agree that it is still important to spend quality time with your partner celebrating your recent union.
